Give new creative a fair test with a temporary minimum
A new ad set can struggle to get spend inside an established CBO campaign. This video shows a temporary ad set minimum as a way to test new creative while keeping the core budget focused on proven performers.
Keep the purpose of testing clear
You are trying to learn whether new creative can perform and scale. The objective is a useful answer with a controlled amount of spend, rather than committing a large budget simply because an ad is new.
Launch the creative in a new pack
The setup uses a campaign-level prospecting budget with multiple ad sets. Each new creative group gets its own pack, giving you a place to apply a test allocation without rebuilding the campaign or moving established winners around.
Make the minimum temporary and proportionate
The demonstration sets a daily minimum for seven days, then removes it. It relates the amount to target CPA while limiting the share of the overall budget devoted to testing. Account size matters: a minimum that is small for one business could overwhelm another.
Remove the floor and read the result
After the test period, allow the pack to compete for budget without the forced minimum. Review its actual purchases, spend, and performance against your target. The minimum gives the creative an opportunity to gather evidence; it does not turn a weak idea into a winner.
