Use placement and audience data to guide the account
This video examines changes in placement costs, spending patterns, and audience mix across the accounts discussed. The practical response is to inspect your own breakdowns and build useful controls around what they show.
Look beneath the overall average
A stable account-wide number can conceal a shift between placements. Review where spend is going, what those impressions cost, and whether they produce the business outcome you need. Portfolio observations are a starting point for investigation, rather than a guarantee that every account will behave the same way.
Separate new, engaged, and existing customers
Set up the audience definitions needed for meaningful reporting. Check whether a prospecting budget is repeatedly reaching people who already know the business. Retention and, where needed, retargeting campaigns give those groups distinct purposes and make acquisition spending easier to evaluate.
Give new creative controlled room to spend
The structure described uses a prospecting CBO with creative grouped by avatar and concept. Temporary minimums help new packs gather evidence. Once the test period ends, remove the forced allocation and review whether the pack can earn spend on its own.
Evaluate concepts against the target
A concept with a lower ROAS can still contribute if it handles meaningful spend above the return the business needs. Avoid reducing the entire account to one small, high-return ad. Develop several useful concepts and keep reviewing their combined effect on acquisition and profit.
