The difference between an audience suggestion and a restriction
This short 2024 update explains a change in how Meta presented audience choices. Its central distinction remains useful when inspecting a setup: entering an audience signal does not necessarily mean delivery is limited to exactly that group.
Read what the control actually promises
The demonstration shows audience language that allows the system to search beyond the entered profile. Review the explanation attached to the current setting. A familiar audience name can appear in a different type of control after an interface update.
Separate a test from a complete account switch
At the time of recording, the speaker favors evaluating the new option in a limited setting before moving established activity. Give the test a purpose and a comparison. A platform recommendation alone does not establish that an account-wide change will improve business results.
Check the resulting delivery
Use breakdowns and customer definitions to understand who receives the spending after the setting changes. Compare that with the campaign's intended job. The useful decision is whether the broader delivery helps the business, rather than whether the new option sounds more automated.
Use the later walkthrough for interface context
The recording captures an early stage of the transition and discusses retaining original audience options then available. Later videos cover further changes. Confirm the controls in the current account before following a historical click sequence or assuming a previous option still exists.
